Trenambol Cottage is only a short drive and for some, walking distance of two miles from Gillan Creek, Frenchman's Creek and The Helford Estuary a little further east and forty-five minutes from either Penzance or Truro & Falmouth.

Cornwall is renowned for its Countryside & Coastal Walks, Beaches, Historical Harbours, like St Ives  & Mousehole,  Coves, like Penberth Cove, and of course, The Minack Theatre set into the cliffs overlooking Porthcurno Beach & Logan's Rock.

In June, usually the Thursday - Saturday of first whole week in June, is Geared up to the County's biggest annual event The Royal Cornwall Show at Wadebridge.

National Trust Gardens such as Trengwainton Gardens near Madron are open throughout the year. Others like Trebah, Lost Gardens of Heligan do tend to be very busy all through the summer months, but the busiest Tourist Attraction in Cornwall is without a doubt The Eden Project. Well worth a visit and even a return visit as it has expanded.

During the very busy high season of the school's summer holiday period you will find an abundance of activities. Mazey Day celebrations around 23rd July( Summer Solstice ), Newlyn Fish Festival ( August Bank Holiday ) RNLI Day at Land's End ( Beginning of August Traditionally )

In May there is our very own Helston Flora day ( First Bank Holiday in May ) and Padstow's Obe Orse day.

St Ives has its own Tate Gallery, Barbara Hepworth Museum/Gallery and September Festival. And many of the villages have Feast Day Celebrations throughout the Autumn as well as the usual Fete's or Fairs during the summer.
